Description
Here's an example of how quickly, and how well, Poser 8 renders dynamic hair. This is my Believable MidLife Sharon with KaiZ's dynamic Crinkly Hair; I did some simple material mods.
Only postwork is enlargement; original render was 717x643 px. I rendered at pretty high settings:
Pixel Samples: 3
Shading Rate: 0.2
IDL Bounces: 5
Samples: 480
Irradiance Cache: 79.6
Smoothing, shadows, displacement all enabled.
Render time: 36 minutes. Never could have done that on my machine (which is in truth pretty bogged down; the hard drive is pretty much maxed) with transmapped hair.

Goog grief - I thought this was a photo when I saw the thumbnail! Brilliant! I've had P8 for about 3 months, now - still learning about it. I'm still amazed at what it will do in the hands of a brilliant artist like yourself. Beautiful work!
