Even on a Holy Day, the fisher folk of Auld Dalriata had to make a living, and had to set sail. Good weather between blizzards was unusual, but in the Year of the Four Princes, snow never fell once the Foremost Isles. Indeed that winter was certainly much wetter, the fishing more difficult, and the injuries and deaths to the families of Waverunners, so much heavier. Then the Leviathans came ... and the myriad coraceels laden with the tattooed Leviathan killers from across the Ocean. Then were the hungry mouths filled, and the babes' cries stilled. CHRONICLES OF THE FOREMOST IDLES, Domine Press, Kildouglass While setting up my daughter's replacement PC, I installed one of my old loves, the original version of Planetside's TERRAGEN. Using just the basic files, and working on the sea and terrain, I came up with a few renders, including this one. I was not at my own PC, so did not have access to my 'full' key. The restricted size was still nice ( even my wife liked it ). This image does give me a sense of hope for the coming year, after the trials and tribulations of 2009. To all who are with, or are separated from, their loved ones, at this time of year, or are suffering the absence of a loved one from the family table, I offer this poor render.
