Description

Captured 12/20/09, at the beautiful Earl Burns Miller Japanese Garden on the beautiful campus of California State University Long Beach in beautiful Long Beach, California. Better viewed full size. For those of you who recall the fotos I took of the koi back in June of 2009, you'll notice that there has been a substantial increase in population since then. The carp in foto #3 are apparently playing their version of ring-around-the-rosy. I'm in the process of digifiddling all of the 195 shots I took of these beauties, either playing with the contrast, or using whimsical distortion filters as shown in picture #5 of the #4 original above. Actually, if I didn't do postwork, many of the fish would be virtually impossible to see in the relative darkness of the depths. Hence, POSTWORK LIVES! Ta-ta, as always.

Love these too! In the ring-around-the-rosy game the one on the top seems to be keeping an anxious eye on the one on the bottom. I took a detour to see what the white one was called and found a picture of a Platinum Ogon that looked right. I was amazed at all the different varieties depending on the markings. Wonderful busy scene in the fourth shot! I love the zig zaggy last shot! Excellent captures!

They look like little submarines don't they Harry. I'm thinking the bottom ones sailed into a microwave current! All the best for the New Year.

Pretty fish...but evidently they had to much of some sort of stimulation in the last shot..:)
