Some "travels" are hard and delicate, you accompagned your little cat for this last one with love and caring.

I am so sorry to learn of this,...such a sad way to have to start out the new year. 21 years is incredible, and such a beautiful friend. Please don't take this wrong, but I am happy that you shared so many wonderful years together, you both were truly blessed. Liz did such a wonderful job in her comment, that it would be near impossible to add anything more of comfort. Since Cheri and I have been together, we've experienced the loss of two cats and her pet rabbit of some 18 years, another exceptional long lived family member. I think the hardest thing I ever had to do though was to have my dog put down, she was one of my best friends, for some 13 years. The vet had a print up in the lobby, the words of which I will never forget, there was some comfort in them, and even though they are intended for a dog, the last three lines are apt for all pets, author unknown. To Dog Owners Everywhere: A Dog's Plea Treat me kindly, my beloved friend for no heart in all this world is more grateful for kindness than the loving heart of me. I am so sorry for your loss Steve. 20 to 21 years is a good long life for a cat but it is never something anyone is truly prepared for until it happens. Cleocatra looks like a very loving and clever cat and though she's gone to a nicer place I do not doubt she will check in on you from time to time. Take care.
