Description

I got bored when our connection went down for a bit and stared playing with my photos. I liked the result of this so I decided to post it. This is Granite Quarry Park in Montello Wisconsin. It's just a few miles from the Dells and the town borders Buffalo Lake. This is the very quarry that the granite used on both Ulysses Grant and Robert E. Lee's tombs where made from. I turned it into a negative, tweaked the color, and added a full moon. I hope you like it. Today and tomorrow I am wondering through the galleries and ebots. Things have finally slowed down a bit. Thank you for stopping by. Love and peace, Cheri

Cool effect you came up with Cheri. Happy New Year to you Dave and the family. That Daz Studio is still a fun program to tackle when you get bored with the photo manipulation. Come on in sweetie the water is fine. Daz 3 is still free at Daz Studio.

Nice idea, that, Cheri. I get the impression that scale is out. That the vegetation is parsley, and the banking a side of beef, with nice marbling, and the water, some crumpled and re-flattened cooking foil. So is that what you had for New Year's Day? ;o) Wishing you both a marvellous year ahead, full of wonder and challenge. One to be savoured in future years... "Remember '10, darling? That's when .... " Warm regards, from an icebound, but still quite lively Glasgow, John.

A big hooray for you Cheri. Sometimes it is just good to breakout of your routine and do something entirely different. This is a treat for the eyes.

A fine rendition of what resembles one of TwoPynts IR concepts, Cheri. It must have been fun to fool around with. I like the water reflections, and the moon looks great hanging over the quarry.

Sometimes it's good to not have internet access, it gives you time to play! I love how this turned out. It all made sense to me until I read jgkane's comment, LOL, then all of sudden I was seeing well marbles hunks of beef decorated with parsley. I need coffee, then I will see normal again!! It is well done, now I have to go play with some photos and see what happens!

I like this a lot! An alternative reality, where the water flows down like ink. Wonderful colors! Love the full moon and black sky!

Amazing how one can take a gorgeous shot of some beautiful scenery and turn it into something so completely different. This looks so eerie and almost out worldly, something more from a spooky movie or maybe a bad dream, but it is so very cool!!! Perhaps we should have more power outages,.....it wouldn't be so bad if they didn't mess up other things,..........like dvd players and such. Awesome work sweetie, and a great way to start out the new year.
