Description

Everybody needs a kick start at the beginning of a new year and especially on Monday, so I though 'Looking for Wind' might be a good way to begin. A Paddle Steamer is towing a sail ship out of harbour and literally "looking for wind". See my web site HERE. Done in Bryce and Photoshop and dedicated to Novelist. dmrc_enabled_wbtn.gif

I was born on an island, Gloucester, Massachusetts and I spent most of my youth on commercial fishing boats and the US Navy after college! I like the contrast between the tall mast and sailing ship compared to the next generation side paddle steamer. Lovely old town and castle above the town!

Superb scene on an ancient port, with a little modernity. A new century arrives ^^

Really impressive image. This could have passed for a 19th century European painting. There seems something poignant about the child with the flag, though I'm not sure what it is...
