You might spot me at Kirra Beach, the South-Eastern end of the Gold Coast, Australia, if you like beach walking like myself... but there is more ! My son Jeff (*jif3d*, here at Rendo, it helps to advertise, ooops)... he took this pic of me in 2000, then manipulated it in photo-shop and it's still one of my favourites. Just very briefly about my past... *born in East Prussia; *grew up in Berlin, West Germany; *migrated to "OZ" in 1960, (not the Wizard of Oz) but...AUSTRALIA ! I guess I was more into '2D' since early childhood, and thinking that my son Jeff may have inherited some of my artistic skills, because he translated them into '3D'. I am hooked on photography, since I discovered cameras... that's it in a nutshell. BTW - one of my fav.quotes.... ** I cannot give you the formula for success, but I can give you the formula for failure - which is trying to please everybody !** that's a wrap... Cheers Brigitte.

I've always liked dragonflys... very cool and serene insects... that is until they zero in on some tastiness of a flying meal...then watch out... very cool shots... you always get the nicest poses out of your guests.. (did you, by chance, ever see the SciFi series "Lexx", where the title character was a giant-spacefaring Dragonfly that could destroy planets?)

Great shots to remind us what summer will be like!

It must peak season at the Coolie Airport and now the Bilambil runway is a host for another Battle of Britain...Dragonfly-style of course ! Two excellent macro's, dig the colours and DOF in the top one and the kool water lens flare and colour contrast on the lower also looks awesome ! Top shit...er, Top stuff ! ~Cheers~

Wow! Amazing shots of these guys. I find it really hard to catch them still long enough to get a shot. Great job on these!

Aren't these beautiful when you see them close up. Wonderful captures, and I can just imagine the trouble you had getting them. I am chuckling over the battle and I'm glad you didn't fall into the pool. I hope you have a happy year too. I'm still catching up from last year.

Both of these are great! Really quite remarkable macro capabilities on your camera! I have to say, this is the first red dragonfly I have ever seen- it's also the coolest I must say!

Such elegant creatures. You know, Dragonflies can't walk; they can only climb...how weird is that? Anyway, weird factoids aside, this is a beautiful duo of shots and the specimens are fantastic. Such colors! Such fashion sense...but ah, insects have always been extravagant dressers! Wonderful work! I'm glad I saw these, they really brighten my week! Super stuff!
