Hi everybody,
My name is Dana Pommet and my wife’s name is Josephine. I was born in Gloucester, Massachusetts, in 1942, and except for a tour in the Navy, lived there for most of my life. I retired to Delray Beach, Florida in December 2000. We love to travel and photography goes hand and hand with that. I went digital about 5 years ago and started posting November 22, 2008. I have met so many wonderful people on RR and that makes this whole process so much more interesting than just posting photos. Thanks for all the comments and keep them coming.
Update  January 2012: After hiding and denying my mild Dyslexia, for most of my professional life, and now fighting with its advancement – I want to thank you all for putting up with my poor typing skills and spelling problems. I know that my spell checker hates me and I now depend completely on audio books rather then actually reading printed books.  Life marches on!  Â

Nice POV Dad. Bryce is the only NP that I can claim hiking every inch of trail and then some. It has such a landscape that I did not go without 10 rolls of 36 shot film minimum and would still have to ration myself ;~). Can't wait to return with a DSL

This is really cool. The rocks kind of look a little bit like brown sugar or something. The POV makes me a little dizzy, but then I don't really like heights. That's a good thing in a photograph though, because I can get dizzy and not worry about plunging to my death. I'll just sit back. Great picture and I love that little, tiny hiker down there.

This is a great series Dana. I once passed near to Bryce Canyon but could not go there. Now I'm quite anxious to visit!

WOW! I was looking at the picture thinking how beautiful it was and then I read your comment about the dark spots being hikers, so I looked closer and was awed by the size of this canyon!! When you have something to help with size comparison it really helps!!
