Description
Months ago, Gea did a dedication for me. I write long comments, but she--who barely knew me--thanked me for them with great kindness, and I was very touched. I walked through her gallery and was moved by all that I saw... Some time back Gea had a flood. It devasted her & her life. I know what that's like & have seen how our very source--water--can wash away so much of our life. I post this to remind you, Gea, that as you cleaned up those waters, you've given healing waters to us. Your art & comments have meant so much to your loving fans. You're intuitive, introspective, very playful, literary & always so kind in your work: May my little attempt to portray light inside nature & memory--with some 'water' flowing through it--give something back for the mysteries & beauty you've given us. Felice Anno Nuovo, and may this year bless you with boundless light & illumination... e in petto ci scrosciano le loro canzoni le trombe d'oro della solaritá. (...and golden songs pour into the breast, from the raised cornets of the sun...) ---E. Montale, I Limoni.

They're all marvellous, of course, but i just love the top one. It's like a glasswork, luminous and mysterious, inviting and yet a bit intimidating..gorgeous.

Yes, there is the word, I have been looking for. As Andrea wrote, it looks like "glasswork". I have been digging in my mind for expressing, what I felt when I saw these wonderful bursts of colors. Glasswork. I feel like a looking oat crystals and glasswork with little bubles. I see the wonderful trees of Florida in them. It is a super choice to use for this. A wonderful dedication for Gea. May they be able to rebuild her Home. Best wishes for her.

Mark you are amazing my friend and this dedication to your friend is wonderful and really pulled me in. Although I don't know her thanks to your words of praise for her that is something I'll correct now as someone who could make such a impression on you must be special indeed. Speaking of special this warm and colorful dedication is that and more. The title describes it best as when combined with your words here it is a true journey for the heart and soul.

The power of lyric, where every drama is a fake. You can become another man one with a little bit of make-up and mimic. He felt pain in the music he woke up from piano but when hi saw the moon that gets out from a cloud, even the death seemed sweet. He looked into girl's eyes, those green eyes like the sea.Suddenly one tear got out and he thought he was drownin. Grazie moltissimo, Mark. E' Splendido il tutto.:-) Gea.

so beautiful done, mark, they have something so fragile, shapes and colours flow together in so many facets. it's the top one that has something very unique, grabs my attention and doesnt let me go. but enough of number one, the whole panel is such a beautiful journey, like in a sea of colours, of warmth, lots of love, it is heartfelt and so delightful to look at.

from this outstanding art, I bet you would love a plugin called Farm. I love the similar results to your art

The vivid colors and textures run amok and are stunning, to stay the least, in another one of your masterful abstract achievements, Mark. Vincent van Gogh, eat your heart out.

Such a profound explosion of image, color, light, and I am pulled through the steps effortlessly until the end. There seems to be a face in the third one down which I don't see in the others ... you always make me wonder if I'm seeing things, or if it's some trick you've pulled ... but I love this piece. What a joy it is to behold!

Mark, you bring such amazing images to us. I look at each version, see so many different things and am drawn deeply into them all. The first brings to mind a cave, with huge walls and water seeping to the ground. The next one looks like a gem with so many facets and colors it must beyond priceless. All are full of that light and color you give everything you do. More beauty for all of us!!

This is simply a stunning piece Mark! I adore it! The tree is such a beautiful thing and you have truly brought it to life in this work! I don't mean life as in the leaves:-) I mean its as if the tree is speaking to us, giving us a rare and beautiful look at the inside where its heart is. When I close my eyes its as if I see all the struggles that it endured as it grew tall and strong, I see the magic moments when it burst forth with happiness at its gorgeous coat of leaves, I hear the song it sends on the winds in a fabulous array of color and light. In the first image its as if the tree has wrapped its arms around the other trees there, a love filled progression of images, and then the water flowing through caressing and gentle. A beautiful and loving gift for your friend, actually a beautiful gift to us all! Bravo, such a marvelous work!

I am holding my breath, I don't dare breath and disturb the almost holy mood of these displays .. My eye flows from image to image, a natural progression. Each brings to me the peace I experience in the little bits of woods at the Hollow. A treasure, this truly is a treasure.

A great piece of art,Mark!Very strong and emotional. I see the develop of the reconstruction of the life piece by piece from one image to another. In your first image, where the tree with her solid roots that means for me the strongness and the power of the nature and after, the light that grow and grow through the whole panel as well the colours, some, organics and from the earth, while others are shinning from the spirit,it seems to me! Also i see you divided your images:the two first, for me the sign of emotions without control, the 3rd, alone,in the silent, recovering the hope and the strenght... and the three last where the light and the colours are flowing on and on in an dance of a resumption with the life. Your first image,Mark is my prefered, i see there the power and the strenght of nature mixed with the strenght of the soul! Fantastic dedication for the wonderful Gea!

Mark I echo exactly what Rita (three_grrr) wrote, I too felt the same as I drank in these amazing artworks, I don't know how you do it, but somehow your work has a powerful effect on me, so thank you for that dear friend. hugs Jane xx

Like Andrea, I was immediately drawn into the first picture. It looked to me like a veiled entryway into a wondrous land. In my mind, I lifted the veil and stepped inside. I found myself in a place, not to be explored so much as reverenced and breathed in. A place with which to feel a deep connection. In this state of mind I looked at the next picture, and again it seemed a doorway. In my fancy, it was a doorway into a reality that this place wanted me to see. A reality of beautiful strands of color and ribbons of light, dancing and celebrating life together. This celebration continues down, until it ends in a glorious, pure light. A wonderful journey.
