Tired and beat
I am just wore out
The winter cold
Has finally caught me
Laying in my bed
I know I should feel so bad
But I don’t
I don’t feel bad at all
As I lie in my bed
Expecting the hand of death
To come to me
Every time I close my eyes
There you are
My smoky eyed angel
You come to me in my dreams
Lay next me
Kiss my face
And sing me love songs
About dancing on the wind
Now I know my angel is real
Not just some wonderful dream
Because I see her face
Even when I am awake
