Hi, I'm Marilyn.  I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile.  It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here.  I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends.  Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time.  Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!!  Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet.  You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long.  Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

Terrific shot! I find that too..there is evidence of scores of passers by, but somedays I see no one else in a normally heavily used area.

I do the same thing at my Son's. There is a trail like this that wanders all over the coastal hills and cliffs - mostly I am the only one I ever meet out there but, like you, I always find a variety of prints that tell me I am never really alone. I feel comfortable walking this view and following the trails and paths. Nice one!

These latest beach scenes are A-1. The footprints or hoof prints really make this image. I looked closely...I don't think you were walking with "Big Foot" that day...best I can tell anyway:)

Great shot!

yep, I agree with Bill: These latest beach scenes are A-1. And in addition to all the footprints, you let the rolling grasses fill up 2/3 of the shot, let the tilt of the land 'be', and caught a big furry quilt under the sky. Some of these captures may be empty of people, but they sure remind us that they're infinitely huger than people, and that when people come here they're reminded of their place in something vast...an intimate & mysterious piece, and it reaches out to infinity...

I love the footprints. Wonderful shot!

This has a wonderful sense of peaceful solitude. It is in the wide open sky and in the absence of people but abundance of tracks. Beautiful image!

You do walk far! But then so do I. Walking is a form of meditation for me. And having said that...what a shot! I imagine that these are Ilya's and Aleo's footprints, with Dorianna's somewhere off in the grass, just because she's like that. And you did it again, you evoked something totally other than what the image itself shows literally. Great work, as always, and I love the clarity, and that wispy, tawny color.

Most terrific POV Marilyn... almost at the grass level which lends a wonderful depth to the image! Truly magnificent! :)
