maybe your iso is set too high should be around 200 for most shots.higher iso means more noise.other than that an excellent collage and captures

Mark I have to say that these really are an amazing collection of captures of Chicago. If you keep this up the Chicagoland chamber of commerce may be asking you to do ads for the city. The views you provide here do such a wonderful job of showcasing what your city has to offer and give an awe inspiring view. For me the winter season and the snow covered roof tops adds so much here too.

I love the depth of the colors you've gotten; it makes the city beautiful!

Mark - this has grabbed me in more than one way! In the third image I love the almost ominous sky yet the smoke coming from probably a warming device inside the building brings warmth, comfort and protection from the cold. In the bottom image I particularly love the warmth of the late afternoon light and the moon bringing comfort and a promise that it will warm up again! The two top images are just so wintery - with snow on the rooftops and is a great prelude to the promise of warmth below! Well done my friend!!!! You nailed it! :))

Gorgeous. Every one is a masterpiece! Such gorgeous vistas! The second one really grabbed me though. I zoomed (and then some more to 150%) and then started looking. So that second one starts as just another pretty interesting tall buildings image, but as one slowly scrolls downwards floor by floor, looking at the details, it's the lower portion that really got my attention, the old buildings nestled in the shelter of the new high-rises. The huge trees look so very tiny, as does the church and the other older buildings. Like little toys almost.

HOLY COW! There is a fast freight flying along the tracks catching up with its' friends like a speeding bullet. Didn't "speeding bullet" have something to do with the "The Last Son from Krypton"? Mark, these frames are spectacular!!! The first frame says to me...big city...all of aluminum... The second frame reminds me of the worth of keeping a mix of old and new...the old must be around to mentor the young (they don't get it for years!) The third frame says the Windy City ain't windy at the moment you clicked your shutter. And the fourth frame says, yet another day is giving itself over to the dark side. Fanciful? Maybe...but that's my palm reading for you today:-)))

HA! What are my humble comments to alle these warm and true comments. You see now, how good you are Mark. You see? I told you so and it is amazing. You amaze me every time you post. Every time and I am so delighted. Look at these cityscapes. They are so beautifully captured. Did I ever say that I love your cityscapes? Well I do. Sorry I dont look so much at the skies, as at the houses, but I think you live in a very exiting city. These are great Photographs.

These are such wonderfully clear and crisp captures that you have taken from your window, you certainly do have a wonderful view. I like the top one the best as it has a very brooding feel which goes so well with the snow, but they are all lovely in their different ways.

As I said before Mark your view from your window is totally different from mine, it is a brick and cement built landscape you view, and it all looks so huge to me. Here where I live the buildings are all so small and tiny in comparison. Your photography of these views is amazing and I find it so very interesting to see how the other half live, I really do, so keep posting more whenever you can. take care hugs Jane xx

High rise buildings get a bad rap for lots of reasons, but WOW---the views are beyond gorgeous!! To look out your window at any time and see any of these vistas would just stop me in my tracks. I love all of these, but the last one is THE best for me. Just has a peaceful, easy feeling (hmmm, nice song title, might have to think about that!!)

These fotos are much too spectacular for me to delve into my limited vocabulary and find the adequate adjectives to describe. I like all the pics; the last two, with the fantastic contrasts, in particular, Mark.

What a fabulous collection of images! Any one of these would be post-worthy on its own. Absolutely phenomenal work, my dear. Top drawer.

Mark, firsly, I envy you your window views; secondly, you've done a great job on each of them, and, thirdly, they all look great in the series to make up a wonderful context. By the way, second and third captures are most impressive!

Wow! These shots are fabulous. Your colors are so rich and crisp.
Chipka
WOW! These are crisp, clean, and incredibly sharp in a sort of almost hyper-real sense. I love that. You capture the essence of what Chicago is. There's that angular brawniness to the city here, as well as a serene elegance that doesn't always show through at ground level. Ah, but the best way to view a city is from above its streets, while the best way to feel it is from the more used parts. What this does is gives us a sense of life and vibrant energy while also showing us the drama of the skies above, particularly in the first and last frames. I particularly like the moon above the clouds. It's so small...as it actually is, and it shows us how our perception of the moon and the moon itself are two totally different things. That's what I find most intriguing and what I find most shocking. The moon is so small! Okay, it takes 3 days to get there if you're going fast, so naturally it'd be a wee bit on the diminutive side. What colors! What lines, angles and wonderful perspective!

A most impressive collage of cityscape photos. Though it is impossible to see the life inside these buildings, it must be quite interesting to observe it all from your window. CC
