Description

Father time And mother nature Have been working together on me My how the years have gone by I look out on this cold winter day And remember better days The wind that use to lift me Now sends a message to my bones That I am getting old As I think back on my youth Tears run down my face So many dreams Gone by the way side now I lived my whole life in the moment Even when I thought to myself Think ahead I just never could It was just never in me I am not ashamed of anything I have done But I have many regrets For the things I have never done I pray the great beyond Has mercy on my soul For as I know I have lived by the moment I know I shall die by the moment

It has been said more than once that, at the end of your life, you do not regret the things you've done but the things you did not do. As the Moody Blues sang, 'So much time to make up, everywhere you turn, time we have wasted on the way.' So I have tried to put my regrets behind me because I don't have that much time left and I have a lot to make up. Check out my response to you in my upload 'Look Down The Road.'

Yes indeed. Time is catching up with us all my friend, but as someone once said, I dont want to end my days very old and with a reasonably healthy body, I want to slide to my grave with a glass of champagne in my hand, body totaly knackered and thinking WOW I enjoyed that ride..
