Description

Well, you know news comes slowly to the Hollow in the winter, but it does get there. There is a magical side to the Hollow with much more then deer and skunks and squirrels and bunnies living there. There's Fairies and Pixies and Elves and more magical beings. They've chosen Soozie from the Butterfly Clan and Sam from the Wood Elf Clan to help the boys, Murphy and the B-dog, wish Mike (aka Faemike55) a very Happy Birthday. We know it's a bit late, but hey, it makes the celebration a little longer, and gives us all an excuse to have more cake and ice cream! So we hope you had good one Mike, with lots of goodies! We wish you an excellent year sprinked liberally with good magic. The frosty fractal is Cabin Tom's Radial Forms script found at Deviant Art, and the grasses are raw flames found while noodling around in Apo. I have no idea where I got the snowflake brush, it was eons ago. Many thanks for all the treasured comments on the previous post, and for the faves also. We have a slight warming trend slowly coming in, what a break that is! It's been so bitter cold here that the we've been doggy coats on the dogs for their walks.

oh, a big burst & party of a piece, your mix of photos with other imagery is seamless, and the convergence of creatures---biological & otherwise---at the bottom is just wonderful & celebratory. And the growths around your dogs & elves, etc, is wonderfully playful, grasses made of long zig-zags, like a wonderful play on fractal forms. And above that, a big star burst with wonderful outlined lines & a big dark sky---like winter---and organic forms growing into space. It's luscious, Rita, I thought I'd commented on it probably because when I saw it I had all these things to say. But I didn't comment, so I'm commenting now! Luscious, delicious, enormously fun & loving, and a great happy birthday to Mike, who I know here through so many people I respect, but whose work I've simply not gotten to know well, yet. (No reflection on him--there are Lots of fine artists I don't know well.) But he must be a terrific artist because so many of you have honored him. Happy Birthday Mike! And Rita, this is a big wonderful dessert of an image. Voila!

Oh Rita you created such a magical place for your beloved dogs, they both look to be enjoying all the admiration from the fae, and the koit (who by the way manages to visit my cats very soon in the dragon story) who certainly gets about a lot here in Renderosity land. I love how you combined all the various mediums and obviously had so much fun creating it too, the joy bounces off the from within.
