Description
Sorry, no collage today. This is the only pic I have of the vehicle.
Captured 10/25/09, at the 8th Annual Wings Wheels Rotors & Expo, held at the beautiful Joint Forces Training Base (JFTB) in beautiful Los Alamitos, California.
And it was very warm out there on the field.
Much better viewed full size.
In contrast to most of the other autos at the show, this one is/was owned by a female.
You go, girl!
I used regular blur on the background instead of the gaussian mode because the latter tends to create a dark feathering effect around the edges of the main subject matter, which I want to remain crisp and sharp.
Ta-ta, and thankx for looking in.

This is a flamer for sure. Wonder if the owner did all the work herself. Wouldn't be surprised. I like your postwork. I need to try blur by itself. Thanks for the idea.

SUPERB, both the car and the shot!

wow, that blur really does make a fine contrast, and the car itself stands out like a big red burst. It almost looks like a tank or a truck. It's wonderful. And I never thought till now about what you have to deal with as you get these shots: that some cars may be alone with lots of space around them (this looks like it has a distance between it & its background), whereas others may be close together, and there may be space behind but little in front, etc etc. I assume you don't always have the view you want; and then there's the pesky fact of other shooters (lol) who I assume you can't scream at whenever you want a shot. That all came to mind because this shot has so much 'air' around it. The car really jumps out, and the sheen & sheer redness are wonderful. And you got just enough reflections to bring out the newness of the chassis. It's fine that you only have one shot, the solo stands out beautifully.

Now this is a stunner - Cruella De Ville X Knight Rider X Flaming Arrow! Wonderful capture of this beauty Harry and I am not surprized that it is owned by a woman! We have taste... LOL... :)

Very cool. By using a wide aperture you would avoid having to use blur in post production. You could keep your roof line sharp.

If I said, "Cool, Hot Car" would that be an oxymoron? hehe. No collage needed here Harry, Great shot!

Hi Harry, beautiful capture, wonder what it looked like prior to the custom work. I'm not much into cars but my folks had an antique shop and my brother and step father restored the oldies and drove them in the parades. My brother would have loved this:-) The man in the photo you asked about is a friend who thinks he is an actor, lol, so he was practicing expressions, it was the perfect image for my work:-)

Beautiful, Harry! The blur effect you used is perfect! The car looks so sharp and brilliantly colored that it almost doesn't look like a real car, but like an expensive toy. Which of course it is, just one that can be driven! Excellent capture!
mermaid
wow...now I am sure she gets a lot of attention in this car...smile... it's a flaming beauty... and a fine shot, Harry!
