Description

this is a bridge designed and being built in Italy.it crosses the third worst polluted river in Texas.no surprise that Houston ship channel is #1. it is a continuation of Woodall Expressway and goes to an industrial area that is on it's last leg and probably responsible for a good part of the pollution. a former lead smelter caused a massive clean up of many blocks of land and attributed to poisoning of many children http://www.trinityrivercorridor.org/html/trinity_bridges.html thanks for looking and any comments

A nice bit of photojournalism... I appreciate how your images not only reflect the beauty in the world but also some of the ugliness... Cheers Ken

Not very pretty. It is similar everywhere where they build the concrete and the ugliness of the completion for a landscape. They surely go to most extremely the pocket like. Escuse me Quebec expression lol… Cheer and mile mercies of your richnesses ((5++)) Pas très jolie . C'est pareil partout où ils construisent le béton et la laideur de la finition pour un paysage . Ils vont surement au plus fort la poche comme .. Escuse moi expression Québecoise lol... Bravo et mile mercis de tes richesses((5++))

I love bridges so I enjoyed the shot here Richard. So sorry to hear that they were allowed to to unchecked and literally ruin this river

I have seen this and to think that at one time to build a bridge was an art form with arches etc..... We just do not build like we used to. Now it seems with all of the Green stuff going on we really just build and polute!

Superb photo-journalistic capture, but the strong message it sends is how shoddy our current "civilization" (?) can be. Architectural creations once had a transcendental quality to them, now it is about money and , if our environment is harmed, so what? Keep capturing these undisclosed blights, Richard, they are visually excellent and extremely informative. Well done!!!!!

You'd think Italians would make a more artistic bridge, really! But the artistry here is yours, with all those interesting shapes!
