Description
the tag had 1915 so I figured the owner must be right.I have little knowledge of cars that old.40's and up to the 60's is more to my liking
I placed the car with the locomotive and I do not know the age or particulars of it

This doesn't look manipulated at all ... excellent work. I wonder if a sepia tone would make it look like it came from circa 1915 ... jus' a thought.

Great image !!!. By the shape of the front fenders I would say this is a model T Ford, But I'm not sure if those amber colored parking lights are original and also the little chrome hoods on the topside of the headlights, Those seem to have been added, You can see by the grass on the ground that the locomotive background image is a monochrome ( black and white) picture and the car has a colored reflection on the door, colored parking lights and radiator cap... It looks to be a manipulated photo but still it is a super photo ! [^__^] Cheers, Roger

a wonderful juxtaposition, and full view it really comes at us. I know we should expect expert manipulation from you, but you have to be lauded for the join, and for how well you put the train through the car's windows: I know of no easy shortcuts for that, it was done very well. As for the locomotive, it's big & looming, I grew up with steam engines & found them absolutely terrifying (!) (I used to hold onto my father as they roared and spewed into the station). And nice job whitening/bluing out the ground around the car & train. I thought the car was actually there at first...A fine piece of manipulation. Another fine shot.

Nice work Richard I live in a Railway Town who also build lots of motor cars the railways works has closed down and the cars makers are all foreign sign of the times..

Neat picture! I can't see the whole locomotive (some one parked in front of it!!!) :) But I think you've got a Russian Decapod here (2-10-0). These were left over from an order for Russia during the First World War. They were never delivered because of the revolution. From the the fact it has a turbo generator and Walscherts valve gear, it is probably post 1920. Check those domes, they're as European as you can get. Several US railroads used them after a surplus sale. The car.......????? ;)
