Description

Captured 1/12/10, very early in the morning, within walking distance of my reactionary residence. Zoom for a better view. Played around with the color balance and contrast in this picture. Original image on the bottom. No rain accompanied these clouds, but it sure as shootin' is raining now. Expecting a real gulley washer tomorrow. Apparently, Mother Nature feels guilty and is trying to atone for five years of relative drought with tons of precipitation, all in one week. Toodles, and you know the rest.

I talked to my mom a couple of hours ago, she lives in Simi Valley, and she was out trying to drain the pool she said it was overflowing. She said she had placed a bucket out back and was trying to keep a measure of their rain fall, then she went on to tell me of all the lemons on their lemon trees. So Harry try to keep dry and just think how pretty and green the mountains and hills will be out their in the spring, and all the lush photos you can bring us after the rains finally stop. Nice work on these lovely sunrises.. It never rains in California

Nice sky, and I like the top one....terrific color. Rain, rain, go away...come again another day. Or week.

Magic sky...fun digifiddle...everytime I do something like this I grow photographically speaking. Put your life preserver on when you go to bed tonight.

Like the pinky version for sure. Sometimes we have some rain but a heat eats it up, next day the soil dry again.

What a contrast between images! I like them both:-) I saw your rain on the news this morning, sure hope you are safely away from any mud slides! I'm not sure which town it was but they were evacuating people so I guess its pretty serious in some places...Digi fiddle is a success!

Nice work on this sunrise; enjoy the rain, but make sure you have your flotation device handy just in case...I know it can flood down there without too much warning! California, the land of extremes!
