Description

I was walking along the river the other day, and this just sort of popped out at me. It's what I call wild anise, because that's what it smells like. I'm sure there's a far more scientific name!

I love this Marilyn. It is such a simple subject that you turned into a delicate still life posting. Great find, beautiful capture and wonderful share. Dana

Looks like what we call "Cow Parsnip" here but you can't really tell because there are many plants that look like this in the winter.

Oh how delicate a shot! I LOVE photographing grasses but 7/10 times I mess it up! Reason - I usually find it where I do not have my tripod with me... Love this one!

Maybe fennel if it smells of aniseed. Those background colours are splendid!

WOW! This is nice. Those background colors are fantastic, and the foreground plant looks like an abstract martini glass. I suspect that it might be fennel too. I could be very wrong since I don't know much about those plant thingies, but fennel has that sort of martini glass shape, and it smells really good. It and dill are my two favorite useful "weed" scents. I like this shot a lot, it looks like a HUGE rolling wave coming in behind this delicate flower. The colors...well...they're gorgeous!
