Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

I thought this was mahogany! I think its that color. If you made furniture out of this it would be very expensive! I like the light a lot, you really caught it like it must have looked without a camera pointed at it. Those colors are nice too; that red is rich. Funny, it reminds me of brandy. It's smooth too, and the best brandy is always smooth.

Lovely shot of this trunk Marilyn well done!!

Holy mackerel, that looks exactly like the imitation crab meat (pollock) that you buy in the supermarket (pun intended)! Otherwise, sterling colors, clarity, lighting effects and textures in this fabulous foto, Maz!

WOW! That wood is almost the color that Polish women dye their hair once they move to Chicago. It's a gorgeous color for wood though, especially when it's natural. I love those patterns that indicate a fibrous structure, and the light is really crisp and clean. This shot rocks. Or as Exeter would say, Thith shot rockth.

Fantastic texture ... so smooth! We call 'em Madrona trees because that's what they ARE! LOL!

This madrone was minding its' own business growing beside it's river when suddenly a torrent came and washed it downstream into the Pacific and here it is!!! Fascinating...
