Description

As promised, here are those same little baby robins weeks later almost ready to head out on there own. I always get a chuckle out of seeing baby birds like these who at this point barely all fit into the once roomy nest. Hope you enjoy this little foretaste of spring. Please enlarge for best view.

LOL...I remember how much we enjoyed seeing these little guys all crammed into the nest, trying to all fit. It was only a few days after that they fledged. Hope they come back this year!

Ah, spring! Yeah, they're ready to go! When my robins got to about this stage, they would really keep an eye on me when I came out the back door about 18 inches from thier nest. Then one day, I opened the door, I looked at them, they looked at me, and immediately all 4 of them just exploded from the nest, going 4 different directions LOL! That's the last I saw of them, but I think they were OK - there were a lot more robins in the yard for several weeks. Anyway, great photo, Mike!

Great shot, they do look a bit uncomfortable all crammed in there. They look like they were expecting you to feed them.

I love robins! They're always so...well...robin-ish! Their faces are excellent and wow...that's one pile of birds! I love their expressions and the clarity of their gazes. They look smart, which isn't surprising, since it's been recently discovered that bird brains aren't as simple as we once thought...yeah, they're small, but recent studies have shown that they're more proportional to the size of the birds' body, and they're a bit more wrinkly than originally thought. But that's a needless ramble when all I really wanted to say was that this is a fantastic shot and it's making a trip into my favorites' file! Great work!
