You might spot me at Kirra Beach, the South-Eastern end of the Gold Coast, Australia,  if you like beach walking like myself... but there is more ! My son Jeff (*jif3d*, here at Rendo, it helps to advertise, ooops)... he took this pic of me in 2000, then manipulated it in photo-shop and it's still one of my favourites. Just very briefly about my past... *born in East Prussia; *grew up in Berlin, West Germany; *migrated to "OZ" in 1960, (not the Wizard of Oz) but...AUSTRALIA ! I guess  I was more into '2D' since early childhood, and thinking that my son Jeff may have inherited some of my artistic skills, because he translated them into '3D'. I am hooked on photography, since I discovered cameras... that's it in a nutshell. BTW - one of my fav.quotes.... ** I cannot give you the formula for success, but I can give you the formula for failure - which is trying to please everybody !**                                              that's a wrap... Cheers Brigitte.

I've done this with odds and ends I forget about in the bin. Ginger root is another...I often buy ginger and then don't use it all. They make gorgeous, tall flowers much like calla lilies.

So that's what happened to my pet science project ?...it grew ! It's weird how just the force of the Trade winds made it grow so out of shape, but it sure does make for a kool photo and the postwork has made the wall look just like gold ! Well done & ~Cheers~

It certainly is an interesting "abstract"! I like the shadows near the bottom - they compliment the stalk very nicely. Well done!

hah! very cool image.... looks like your onion is learning to dance... another use of an onion is to keep one by you bed while you sleep, it collects germs that you exhale... absorbing them, keeping you healthy..(garlic... the sweet rose of mirth)

A great capture of this cute little onion who is trying his best to grow for you. Excellent shadow work and textures.

WOW! I really like this shot. It looks vaguely alien, like you've got a little periscope in your window-mounted planter...probably from some interesting alien pet keeping an eye on what's going on outside of his...well...his planter. I love the post work. Like your two earlier pieces, it has a somewhat retro look, from the "high art" era of poster design, and it works perfectly here. And to top it off, you mention onions and garlic! WOW! I love garlic! I'd sprinkle minced garlic on my ice cream if I could get away with it. I love that stuff! This is a fantastic shot, and perfectly presented too. Very nice.

Nothing should go to waste when it can so easily become a lovely piece of art! You are so clever! It is absolutely beautiful. Very zen looking. I love it. Well done.

I like the texture in this. It looks like something on canvas. The colors are nice and muted, like something in the Arizona desert. The bent onion is hilarious. This is a great capture. How tall is that onion stalk? It looks pretty amazing.
