Description

A trip to downtown Seattle today included wandering through the Pike Place Market. This is a classic Market shot ... the fruits and veggies there are always gorgeous!

I for one love the colors of a fruit and vegetable stand. The hand done signs really make this a "open air market" shot! Well done my friend:)

This is gorgeous! Little edible gems and not a banana in sight, though I have to admit that I didn't look for any either...I lingered on the peppers! This is gorgeous and rather delectable. Perfect work, and yeah, I can feel the open air and hear the voices and smell strawberries somewhere...over there....

Isn't it odd that greengrocers the world over do that same lettering!! Quite extraordinary! Although maybe not in Saudi Arabia, on second thoughts. A wonderfully colourful shot which got me converting dollars to £s but I gave up. But I may have the theme for my next art class on the 10th!

Off the island again? Wonderful, colorful image. I still remember how good the produce looked at Pike. I must get down to our local farmer's market to make a comparison.

The prices are incredible. Those peppers are a dollar cheaper than ours but the squash is a dollar more. Beautiful spread though. It makes me hungry. Fabulous burst of color and for me, very interesting to see what prices are for the same things I buy here.

Beautiful capture of one of our local attractions! I do love the way everything is stacked and spread out at the market. I may have to go on Sunday!

In all the times I've visited Seattle, I have never gone to this market. Shame on me! Your shot has enticed me to go the next time I am there.

A vast myriad of vivid colors in this excellent shot of the healthy veggies, but those prices? Can be justified if it's organic, otherwise more expensive than what I see in my local supermarkets.

Very colorful. I like to stand around the fish market (if it is still there) and watch the fish "fly". Dana

Gorgeous shot, Tara. A produce display can be as fun and colorful as the bulk candy aisle in a grocery store.

Apart from the obvious beautiful display of a ripe harvest and being the typical little hausfrau, I did find myself comparing and converting them into Aussie Dollars...I don't understand, why we have to pay so much more ? But that's another story...you caught on camera the essence of a great display, colour, colour and more colour, that ropes you in ... Marvellous BB
