My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
Â
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
Â
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!

It is a very beautiful portrait Tara. You are right, it is fun to see different versions of a subject. They are both beautiful in each way, I think. :-)

How VERY excellent Tara!! Love the blue beret and love it all!!! :)

This is superb! I like the subtle differences--so much shifts by simply moving closer or moving back. All of the wonderful atmosphere in Bill's shot is a nice compliment to the wonderful intimacy in this one. I love the details, right down to the guy's ring! Fantastic work and great, inviting light! Great emotion in this.

I do like the soft glow on this portrait. Very well done, Clive

Wow, I just have seen your first class portrait...for the second time...:) As they say or at least used to say in the world of jazz, "cool". Your close-up portrait reveals a bit of this man's character or maybe even his soul. Wonderful:)

This portrait is so full of character. You've really captured the man's essence. The tight composition gives it a univeral feeling. It could be anywhere.

It was very interesting to see your shot and then to see Bill's shot to get the bigger picture of things. Thank you for posting the link. I find both shots very interesting.

Both shots are so good, each has its own particular focus. I love street musicians, they seem to have such fun. Oh yeah, like Chip, I saw his ring---looks like a nice chunk of something!

These shots are great together..we see him where he does it and then approach to listen longer. I love his expression.

Both shots are excellent! On your version, I love the lighting and close crop that emphasize the face, hands and clarinet. I like the newspapers, which follow the line of his body. Wonderful portrait. Thanks for the link.

Tara, I really like the close up of your clarinet player. Enjoyed the details in the clarinet and the character in his face. Bill, there is so much going on at Pike's Market and it is nice to see some of that flare in your photo, from the flowers back to the oranges. Two views and two visions. Bravo to you both. Dana
