Description

A Valentine for all of you with this young pair of lovers walking on one of the bridges on the Saone River (the other river crossing the city is the Rhone). In front of them there is Fourvière, the location for Notre-Dame de Fourvière, the Disneyan 19th century neogothic basilica on the top of the hill. On the left you can see the top of the Medieval cathedral and the Old Lyon area at the foot of the hill. Using the language of the law courts for the rituals of courtly love, a High Court of Love was established in Paris on Valentine's Day in 1400. The court dealt with love contracts, betrayals, and violence against women. Judges were selected by women on the basis of a poetry reading. The earliest surviving Valentine is a 15th-century rondeau written by Charles, Duke of Orleans to his wife, which begins: 'Je suis desja d'amour tanné/ Ma tres doulce Valentinée…' (I'm already fed up with love, my very sweet Valentinée). At the time, the duke was being held in the Tower of London following his capture at the Battle of Agincourt, 1415. A bit of postwork helped (I hope) to give a special mood to the shot. i am very surprised that the court did deal on violence against woman i that time.because it was well at least as common as today to beat woman. this morning in the grocery store the girl in the cashier was telling me something about valentine and i told her hat valentine should be everyday and not only a day in the year and for the rest people beat the shit out of each other. here in spain in january 5 women killed already for this year ,murdered stabbed beatenn by their own partners . i wish you a very pleasant one.

Bien entendu comme tous ces genres de fêtes, cela n'a rien d'exceptionnel ! La Saint Valentin c'est tous les jours, la fête des mères aussi, la journée de la Femme, c'est tous les jours de la semaine, toutes les occasions de faire une journée ne manque pas...même la Ste Catherine !!! Plutôt que des fleurs coupées, j'offre demain un petit gueleton dont ma tendre moitié me dira des nouvelles... Of course like all these kinds of festivals, it is not unusual! Valentine's Day is every day, Mother's Day as the Day of the Woman, is every day of the week, every opportunity to make a day does not fail ... even the St. Catherine! !
