Description

A little Glen Campbell (Wichita Lineman) here to go along with the hard working repairman, ensconced in his bucket, contributing to our power needs. Captured 2/11/10, early in the AM, within walking distance of where I call home. A ZOOM will show the wires real good. While snapping these photos I was approached by a chap in a hard hat who asked me if I was from a safety board commission. I said no, but almost said yes. He said no problem, and walked away. Now if I had said I was from Renderosity, then I would have been given the bum's rush. At least he didn't tell me to vacate the premises because of safety factors, which is quite a change compared to my other photo adventures. I lead a hazardous life. Although ominous looking, no rain in those clouds. Au revoir, and thankx for the look-see.

Life is full of danger...were all gonna die one day, might as well be doing something you like...if its because we had to have that perfect picture, well that's better than because ya got caught robbing a Thrift-way or something. I know, insurance policies and people suing every and anyone these days make most of these Companies regulations:-) Cool catch Harry.

Should have said you were doing an OSHA inspection, that would make them straighten up and act right! Great catches & collage.

Very funny narrative! I wonder what would of happened if you would of said, "And what is your name sir"? As you reached for a note pad to scribble his name on! Hilarious! Great work!

It would have been interesting if you had said yes. Then just tell them they are doing a good job but they need to wear a green vest for safety, lol. Great capture. Aloha

Agree with morningglory! Glen Campbell, however, sang that song so many times I got sick of it at the time:-) Super shots of the man in the bucket and a very effective presentation.

Not always safe in the bucket. A friend of mine was electrocuted that way. He had only been working at it for three weeks and never really had enough time to understand all the dangers.
