Description
Yesterday the Grand Canyon...today the striking lobby of the Luxor Hotel in Las Vegas.
Here the Egyptian theme rules. I'll have to go back to this hotel to capture a lot more details...but hopefully this lobby ceiling inside "The Luxor Pyramid" will hold your attention until I get back:)
The three full sized palm trees will give you a sense of scale.

That's a lobby? Holy crap! It looks a bit like a Stanley Kubrick set design on serious drugs! Needless to say I love it! What a spectacular sight! This is amazing, especially since I've become a bit interested in "megastructures." I don't know if this qualifies, but if those are full sized palms inside then that place is pretty big. I love the textures, the play of light, the odd shadows and wow...that color! This is amazing!

It took me a little bit to get my perspective on this. At first I thought I was looking down. Even knowing that I'm not, my eyes are fooled if I look just at the top portion of the image. The subtlety of the reflections of the palm trees gives a lovely abstract pattern on the walls. What an amazing place. Beautiful capture!
