Description

He's the easiest dog I've ever met--quiet, never needs to go out, eats hardly anything, though he is kinda slow!!

A most propitious find and sterling foto of the erstwhile pup. Never needs to see the vet or get a bath, either, eh, Maz? Not much of a watchdog though.

That's just fantastic! What a find! Sometimes it's hard to see what people see in things. "No no, his eye is right there, do you see? No, not that knot, the next one over." But THIS!! Good heavens. Jumps right out at you!

Well, I'd be finding a truck and a couple friends to help me load this and haul it home. :-) What a spectacular find! Great capture.

What a fantastic imagination and eye you have! Yes, I can see it. He seems to be sniffing the air.

Ouch...he just bit me. But it is OK, his teeth are rather soft and spongy:-))) Great find...love it.

It's a great find, yes, but it's not so much a find like it was accident, because you naturally are 'called' to these kinds of things. It looks so much like a dog, I thought it was one till I left the thumbnail. And I love all the growth around it: It's a splendid shot, fake dog or no. A real swept-ocean shot, with that oceany tall grass, an amazing piece of wood on an ocean shore, and those scraggly branches in the right background. Windswept (so it seems) & lonely and dignified; so typical of your ocean up there..."Fido," you may know, comes from the Latin "fidelis," meaning "fidelity," because dogs were supposed to be loyal. And, for a dog that's made of wood and looks like a WWI portrait, he seems loyal enough to stay still for you & hold beautifully for this reaching portrait. And the dog aside, your ocean is a never ending supply of astonishing & primal images, and I'm grateful, always, that you've chronicled it for us again & again...
