Description
I met Paula when we were both working for the Los Angeles Public Library. She was a fiddler. Not a violinist, a fiddler and she played with skill and passion. One spring she invited me to attend a Blue Grass music festival in Santa Barbara. Afterwards we drove a few miles north to Gaviota Beach State Park. As we walked up a trail away from the beach we came upon a thermal pool just off the trail. It was a beautiful day and the water was warm but neither one of us had a swimsuit. Well, we were young and so we went swimming anyway. More than this I will not say. A gentleman never tells. Let's just say we "fiddled" around.

ok, I'm back in pre-history again...2010...this is beautiful, Mark. Wonderful soft hues, and with the sharp lines of the rock and soil, you have some real contrast. Plus you caught such interesting plays of illusion from the trees and sun above---making the water look like it's painted on. And it ends on top, in darkness. Beautiful shot, and it goes along with the sweet memory of times spent with someone you really cared about. I like the towel or whatever that is on the ground...signs that you two had been there, I assume...(And btw, I totally appreciate the difference between a fiddler and a violinist: Both wonderful arts when played by someone who's really into it.) A beautiful shot.

Actually, Mark, those are the lady's clothes. No shoes, no shirt, no shorts, no problem.
