Description

I took my camera outside for a little play today. Imagine my surprise when I saw the alien in the middle of my dandelion.. eeek :) What is it? A delightful surprise. lol. My previous upload, "Glensheen Mansion". Thanks for looking:) and, a big thank you for choosing "Just call me John..." for LWITG! Encouragement comes just when you need it :) I have been trying to improve and I felt I was stuck, so I just kept on shooting and sometimes magic happens :) Thanks again! Hugs, ~Melinda~ P.S. I forgot to say, Check it out in Full-Size~

Fine macro of the bloom and the invading alien, Melinda. I made the LWTIG the same week as you, but received only one comment on it. Gotta keep plugging away at it. You're bound to break down their resistance and give you a break.

So that's where the Tc'baa'aa ambassador went...those conference coordinators from Proxima Centauri were looking for hir: s/he was supposed to be attending a panel discussion about what to do with all of those gluten deposits out at Lelax IV, but apparently s/he decided to explore dandelions. From what I hear, the Tc'baa'aa have a thing for yellow flower thingies. See what happens when you show a picture of an insect and mention aliens? My brain just goes off in some loopy direction. What I really like about this is the fact that you've captured such delicate and hard-to-capture details and you make it look so darn easy! That's a gift and you use it well. I really like the DOF in this as well as the crisp, just-under-your-nose quality of this image. I can almost smell the dandelion and that's a good thing since I like the way they smell. This is a wonderful shot. And it's going into my favorites.
