Description
Captured 3/9/10, early in the morning, within walking distance of my recalcitrant residence.
Love the herring bone patterns and textures in this one.
It looks like knotty pine that has been treated with a wood oil or varnish of some sort.
The two dark rivers depicted in both fotos are the effluence of rusted screws.

These are excellent! The bottom one makes me think of a zebra. The top is my favorite! Beautiful patterns! Wonderful capture of the detail and texture!

This brought back a memory of Cub Scout humor. Boy: Dad, what are those? Father: Son, they are knot holes. Boy: Well, if they're not holes what are they? (I didn't say it was good memory!) Wonderful capture on both. I like the very bold pattern of the second one. Lynell got it right about the face but the poor fellow in the first one only has the one eye. Really good eye on this.
