Description

Almost seems like someone wrote numbers on the cooled top portion of the lava. Aloha and thank you for viewing.

When I studied geology or professor showed us pic like this. But this here is much better, I wished we had such fine pics in those days. Thanks for sharing - and be careful.... Thanks for your nice comment, Sharky; have a nice day!

Really cool - er, hot capture! I've always been fascinated with volcanoes, and I really admire people that get up close and document these amazing spectacles of nature. I saw the Volcano National Park when I was younger so that didn't help much. ;P I see '107' as well.

Very impressive shot. I don't know which I'm more impressed with, this lovely sculpture or that fact you were THAT CLOSE to it. Very fine work.

It does look like some numbers, but perhaps it just happened that way. Writing on liquid lava might be a bit hard on your writing stick, ha ha!

Like the way you can just see the heat underneath this flow...ultra hot to slowly cooling.

it just amazes me that you a punaguy can get so close for lava pictures - whenever I'm cooking I get spit on by the water burping, I could see the lava just burbing wholes all over me... talk about numbers, I'd be a big zero after a burp - lol

That is an amzing sight..my knees sometimes look worryingly like the surface of the lava.
