Description

Hello again! And Hello to you, Jocko; this is a little present for you! Back to Balquhidder, the little village, where the hunted and imprisoned clan chief and cattle trader found his love and his peace... It is told, that Robert MacGregor spent an animal (a pig or a cow) every year to the priest to get the privilege to be buried directly in front of the church. And so the priest did; the little church is now a ruin... Recent many people spend money to this famous man, the grave is covered with many coins from different countries. I have seen this only at Rosslyn Chapel, too. The music clip of today is something special: It is a film clip from the movie "ROB ROY" with Liam Neeson and Jessica Lange in the leading roles. The film was produced by Michael Caton-Jones in 1995. KAREN MATHESON, the lead singer of Scottish band "Capercaillie", who played a little role in the movie, sings the ballad of the "Dark Haired Alan", in gaelic "AILEIN DUINN". The song was in the U.K.Top 100. I hope you enjoy this song and the scenes from the movie, when the Old Scotland comes back for some minutes. Please listen to "AILEIN DUINN" copyright: PennyPaola
