Daily, hundreds of thousands - if not millions - of donuts (or doughnuts, if you prefer the scientific nomenclature) are consumed. We believe that this constitutes murder, but also understand the need and desire of many of the world's population to consume of the flesh (the dough), the blood (the jelly) and other certain portions of this defenseless creature, such as that which we call "icing", something whose true purpose is yet unknown. Jimbo's tried to figure it out, but he's gone over budget; a twelve pack simply wasn't enough. All is not lost, our murderous friends! We now have the means to replenish the world's doughnut supply, having developed seeds that may one day be able to bring the rich fertile valleys of donuts back to life. Like the rain forests and melting glaciers, if something is not done soon, the elegant roundness will be forever lost to us. If you've never heard of it, you can Google it (or Bing, Yahoo or whatever). Or you can take a look at this image I uploaded three years ago for a bit on the "holiday". Still doesn't really explain this render or the save the donuts campaign, unless you catch the bit about planting donut seeds. Well, actually, it's Cheerios (or the generic alternative). I suppose Froot Loops might work too, and that's kinda what it looks like I've got here, the "seeds" are a little bigger than they should be. Now, I don't remember anyone actually doing this, but that doesn't mean it's not a part of some Finnish folks remembrance of this grand day somewhere else in the upper Midwest or the areas near Lake Superior in Canada. Many Finns tend to have a self-depreciating sense of humor and some stupid stuff ensues. And sometimes, it becomes less stupid (well, sort of), like the annual Outhouse Classic. Oh, and since purple is the official color for the day, today's babe is (mostly) wearing purple and dyed her hair for the occasion; I made sure everything's covered up or obscured from view. I'm just guessing, but I think she might be a bit more popular that the big mean p'dwagon (very much unlike Nolly, if you know who I'm talking about) chasing the poor grasshopper.
