Description
I was digging through a closet in one of my periodic desparate attempts to clear out the clutter when I came across a box full of forgotten slides. Now I know how Howard Carter felt when he opened the tomb of Tutankhamun. Here is the first one, a look through the trees at Crystal Lake in Northern California.

It's beautiful. It feels forlorn to me, but that could just be my mood. There's something...almost mystical about it, in a dark way. Reminds me of Loch Ness in some ways. As always, great photo.

This is beautiful and magical! I love the framing and the way my eyes are drawn into the distance. There is a melancholy feeling to this, but mostly it is peaceful and so beautiful.

How could you forget this one? It's so beautiful. You better rummage through some more closets and see what other good stuff you forgot. I love the title and the purple hues are perfect. Very, very beautiful and perfectly composed.

What a great find!! I tried one summer to get all my old photos and photo albums in order and I would spend an hour here and there on it that summer but it was worth the hard work... now if I could keep my computer files as in order I would be happy...

Oooh! Quite simply: Oooh! I really like this image. The glimpse of a world from within the depths of another world is always an intriguing thing for me, and you convey that so well here. This is gorgeous. The silhouettes surrounding everything are just wonderful. This is stunning work.

"... when I came across a box full of forgotten slides." I luv' when that happens! ;-) This is very good news to my ears. I am already looking forward to the addition of more works from your early adventures. I like what you named this image. It truly is a window or portal into, what seems another world or, at least, a different time on this one. Images such as this I often print large, frame and hang upon the wall solely to enjoy as meditative tools. They have always been very healing for me. A wonderful rediscovery, Mark! Terry
