UPDATED: September 19, 2010
Hi, My name is Bill and I am updating my homepage to reflect a wonderful event in my life...marriage, September 18, 2010, to my best friend Tara...known to many of you as auntietk here on Renderosity.
We "met" shortly after I joined Renderosity in August 2008. We share a love for photography and indeed all types of art.
We live north of Seattle and enjoy getting to share photographic excursions and information with other Renderositians ( is "Renderositians" even a word? ). LOL
As for me, it seems like I've been taking pictures all my life but I didn't get serious enough to purchase my first Digital Single Lens Reflex (DSLR) camera until May 2008. In May 2009 I upgraded from an Olympus E-510 to an Olympus E-30 with a wide variety of lenses.
My subject areas of interest include absolutely everything but with a frequent return to airplanes, cars, tanks, etc., ...or as Tara says, machines that make lots of noise;-)
If you are curious, I am pictured above in a Grumman Corsair on a taxiway of the Kansas City Downtown Airport. I used to fly and train others to fly airplanes. That will explain my frequent forays into the world of aviation. Last but by no means least, thanks to Pannyhb for introducing me to Renderosity. The moment I saw it I was hooked.
Fine print: Yes, the photo above is a photo manipulation:-)

wonderful capture, Bill. I'm not too sure where I'd put this either! that piano looks gaudy enough: all that fancy gold leaf doesn't make it sound any better, I bet.

Did you go in, I wonder, and did 'they' wonder what you were up to! A multi-layered and rich pic! I'm going to have to look at 'Steam Punk' images, what on earth is that?

Sure is a lot to see in this one! Including the photographer(s)...yes, I can see why Tara wouldn't be able to pass this one by, piano, glass with reflections, etc etc etc... Great shot!

Oh dear. Now I'm going to have to go find mine and work it up to post! LOL! I remember how much I liked the way these shots turned out. You're a bad influence on me, though. Do you have ANY idea how many photographs I've got sitting around from when you were here? It's ridiculous!! Did I remember to mention how much I like this shot? The layers upon layers upon layers are just fantastic. This is excellent!!

That's too cool, Bill! All the little details - and the reflections are what really make this shot! There are so many categories this would fit into! It sure made me smile!

Category? Why "People," of course: People with cameras taking pics of themselves and garnering a little side culture into the pic for eye-candy.

Hmm, just who was influencing whom? A genre all of its own - reflections Great depth, Clive

Superlative capture of an ostentatious display of gaudy affluence, Bill! What you might find in the entrance room of a upper scale brothel. It would do Liberace proud. And, I see your reflection in the window while snapping this beauty.

Something else for Rendo to get off its backside and sort.. (Apart from the server obviously getting overloaded)...Sub sections.. A good idea Bill.. Animals is very vague! This one? I know but I'm not saying... As for the picture, SO much to look at.. apart from yourselves!lol Gotta say, the obvious one for me is the beautiful desk... Great shot.. Rob
