Description

cobaltdream wanted to see what happened with Officer Walter Chan (shown here on the left), who had recognized his son's jacket on Camo Guy. So here he is, about an hour after Camo Guy (aka Bart "Slicer" Ford) was taken away downtown. He's sitting in his son's hospital room at Ellesburg General, watching the 11 o'clock news with Jason. Jason looks a lot better than he did ten days ago, when he managed to crawl out of the trunk of Camo Guy's vehicle and get help--his teeth had been pulled out with pliers, among other things, and he had a concussion. He's had a lot of facial reconstruction work since then, and new stainless steel teeth implanted to replace the lost ones. He's about to point to the TV and identify Camo Guy again, though he's already picked him out of a holo book that the cops brought earlier in the week. Jason (and Bryan) are possibly the only survivors of Ford's 5 year "business". This is happening as Bryan is opening up his rice pudding, and deciding to wait until he gets up to his dorm room and has a plate and a spoon to eat it with...Petunia said that as much as she loves him, he can't eat pudding with his fingers in her car. ________________ Walter Chan's texture is just the M4 default, with some vaguely Eurasian morphs I did in Argile. Jason has the same morphs with a different texture map, and Neftis' Wild Mane hair, I think from Daz. The stuff that looks like tape on Jason's clothes is cloth tape, meant to be tossed when the clothes are washed--it's more comfortable than strings and easier to put on, pull off and adjust as needed.

Fantastic image! Seeing this, one can't help but wonder if it wasn't fate that brought Bryan to Bart so that Bart would be captured and justice served!

Teeth pulled out with pliers? Ouch! That's brutal. Great scene, Officer Chan's expression is wonderful as is his son's. Great realism in their emotions.

Boy do these two ever looked pissed, I kinda have to laugh. Classic tough dad can't bring himself to look at his son. probably thinking he should have done a better job teaching the kid to fight. So many nice touches like the TV reflection on the back wall and the cops hand on the pillow but not on his kid's knee where it belongs.

Lmao @ Bryan...what's a guy to do with a sister who doesn't let him eat pudding with his fingers, lol. Jason is lucky Ford didn't run off with his liver (maybe he never had a liver doner's card?) He's also lucky he isn't stuck in the hospital wearing a snowflake robe with no undies 'cause the hospital lost his stuff and his Girlfriend is off looking for it for 5 hours. cough I do want to know what the medical thingy is, that looks cool, and that is a cool idea with the tape.

Once again you illustrate what I am going to call the "angel in the details" (as opposed to the devil) because the little details in your work are so attractive and well done! You called attention to the cloth tape...nice idea....but not to the patterned sheets (imagine that in a hospital) or the cool reflective glow of the TV on the tile wall...excellently done! There are undoubtedly others I have missed...but they all go together fabulously to make up your incredible scenes! Bravo!

yay! i'm so glad to see the whole story come out. and i agree with alessimarco- the little details in this seemingly simple scene are interesting. for instance, that's a lot more spare than the last hospital room i saw in real life. given what we've seen of the rest of the world, and the mixture of high and low tech, i'm guessing that's not an accident. i can't tell exactly what's happened to his leg, and how he still has a right foot, but i'm sure you know exactly. stainless steel teeth sounds cool and even better as potential weapons. you did an excellent job of creating a family resemblance without making them identical. and i'm glad Slicer's gruesome work has been ended, but what about his customers?

I hadn't realized how much a hospital room looks like a zombie morgue. :) But seriously, I like the room. If anything it is more lively than the last hospital room my wife was in. The sheets have a pattern and everything.
