Description

Yes, I'm back from Prague as wicked as ever ! In Michigan city of Grand Rapids, they got real turmoil, when they thought (and massively called the police and fire brigade), that there was a person hanging from the roof of a building. When a crowd gathered, and police and fire brigade arrived to talk the 'unhappy person, which hanged there by the hand' off the sin (no one thought it strange he was so strong to hang there for hours), they found out it is just a statue. The Czech artist David Cerny created a life-size sculpture of Sigmund Freud, installed on Jilskà Street in Prague. The sculpture was hung on a metal rod over the street from the top of a building. This sculpture, more often referred to as the Hanging man was first exhibited at the exhibition “Respekt 97” in the Prague’s Lesser Town. Later installed at the Czech Cultural Center in Berlin; Moderna Muset in Stockholm; National Theatre in London; and the Embassy of the Czech Republic in London. Grand Rapids, Michigan, was the latest city to host the installation in 2008, before returning in Prague. Thanks for your kind comments.

No seo forse cosi' cattiva come dici! In realta' la gente si accalca dovepuo' assistere a una tragedia e spesso non si pone domande sul perche' ! ( o il vero cattivo sono io ? ). Ottima l'idea e la foto . Ciao , bentornate e Buona Pasqua.

He looks rather disdainful of it all. It would be fun to have a picture of the incident in Grand Rapids, with him looking down with that expression, on the crowds and flashing lights below. Great information and capture! Love the lighting!
