Life in flux. So, I was looking with passionate interest for people who were interested in making realistic materials - called shaders - for Poser mesh. That interest had shifted to making dynamic cloth for Poser, but has since moved further afield: to Blender3D. And creating scenes in Poser for Cycles.
Exciting times!!
How can it be the best things in life are free? Blender 2.63a with Cycles is just the most amazing programme, evah! How can this be free? Well, what I'm typing in: Linux Mint (based on Ubuntu 12.04) is also free. Solid, stable, never any issues, finds new devices without me having to do anything... how can this be free?
These are exciting times indeed, and they don't cost money. They cost time and imagination and dedication and a desire to learn. And they are free.
Gotta love it!

nice character! the business suit looks great on her, and matches the car very well. i like the simple but natural scene. and i envy how well you're working with that water. and nice reflections on the car. i never would have guessed that source for the street. the shoes are very cute (i love the flower on the side). i think your lighting is really getting solid. i'm looking forward to the new character's release!

This is a fine image on several counts, Robyn. The overall composition is very well balanced. Donna Michelle is set just off of center, right where she should be. The posing of her hand off-side is a sweet touch because this draws our eyes to the keys which validate the title of the image. The tri-level grouping of the land, sea & sky is very well set. An even balance of halves or thirds to horizons will always distract from a scene. This is good example of how to mix the balance up successfully. Her outfit is sharp and I especially like that her hair hints at the more wild side of her character. I luv' that you chose to only show a small portion of the car .. just enough to fill out the storyline. DM is the subject after all. & the choice of the Baker Street ground is wonderful. The Victorian look is sweet and fitting for a waterfront. It is a really fine image. I worked with a model named Donna Michelle for a couple of seasons quite a few years back. I am now looking forward to soon working with a new lady by this namesake. ;-) Terry

Very nice. I like how her suit and car match in both color and style. Very modern, metallic.
