Henties Bay
This was probably one of the most amazing sunsets I have ever seen! It felt as if an alien spacecraft was coming over. I have done NO postwork to this image, just a little cropping and the frame! I'll never forget this breathtaking moment!

This is great! And I well remember Will Smith in a 1996 movie by the title of, "Independence Day", where the alien space ship looked just like this!!! But back to reality...another "Wow" for Namibia.

OMG, the films, Close Encounters of the Third Kind and/or War of the Worlds, come to mind in this overwhelmingly stunning shot, Carin!!! What can I say, the sun angle really pops out the beautiful graduated colors and billowy textures of the clouds on top and the dark striated ocean beneath. A real winner!

Holy frak! This is overwhelmingly amazing! You had front row seats...well...a front row beach for a spectacular show. Yeah, I can see those huge, enormously gargantuan planet-blasters from Independence Day causing these things as atmosphere entry plasma burns from their hulls and temperatures cool, thus creating the sorts of special effects that Roland Emmerich decided would look really good on screen...which makes me wonder: did he see a Namibian sunset and steal inspiration from that? At any rate, WOW! WOW! And again, Holy frak!
