Description
Captured 3/13/10, at the Los Angeles Zoo, in Los Angeles, California.
A ZOOM would be cool.
Took a dozen shots of this magnificent beast. And you have no idea how close I came to doing a collage on this one. Next time for sure.
I believe this big pussy cat is preprogrammed to take a periodic walk around its enclosure, just for the sake of giving the viewers their money's worth, and then to retreat back into its hidden lair until the next scheduled go-around. So I was very fortunate to be on hand when it took its stroll.
Some notes on my visit to the zoo: if you like huge throngs, screeching and undisciplined urchins, scolding mothers, apathetic fathers, tons of baby strollers, all the while being surrounded by a vast array of languages, then you would love it here on the weekends. As for the weekdays, I'm not sure what you would encounter.
Toodles, thankx for clicking on, and for any and all complimentary comments and favs.

Yes, sir...this is a very special picture with a very special subject. Well done. Please don't feel any need to add in a collage for my sake. LOL. I trust this was you very best shot and one makes me very happy in the grand scheme of things. When I see 4 or 5 of something...I quickly scan them all. When I see one...I study it. But that's just me. Cars are different for me...got to see both sides, front and back on a classic car!

This is a great shot Harry. Perfectly fills a frame and a strong colors are amazing. I think they have some hidden device what a visitors don't see but a tiger smells so he is keep tracking it, this is how they make him walk up and down for amusment. Motioned triggered of course by the onlookers. About a weekend visit to any zoo. After that you fill you won a battle, so exausting to listen all the noises mad by the humans. We use to sit on a bench for the while and see/study the family drama unfolding front of us. Great fun.

Oh wow - what a regal kitty! I love tigers but cringe at the knowledge that they are critically endangered!!! I had a good laugh at your description of the zoo experience over weekends!!! That sounds about the same as here!

Excellent capture of this beauty! I think I'll wait until my next life to attempt to hold him though. Beautiful colors and details of his markings. Sorry about the crowds. You described them with horrifying accuracy.

Reading your notes about the zoo-goers Harry, it sounded like you were at our zoo here in Toronto. Fabulous capture O'lboy, what a beauty. I like the motion blur on his left paw, I get the notion he could be fishing for Koi!
