Description

I dedicate this photo to a common friend and appreciated artist, Mikey who has recently suffered a family loss. St. Nicholas Church lies at the centre of the Lesser Town Square (Malostranske Namesti) and is the largest of Prague's churches founded by the Jesuits. The church is the masterpiece of Christoph and Kilian Ignaz Dientzenhofer, a father and son duo who constructed many buildings during the Baroque period. The interior of St. Nicholas Church is decorated with statues, paintings and frescoes by leading artists of the day. Particularly impressive is a fresco of the Celebration of the Holy Trinity by Franz Palko, which fills the 70m high dome. This is one of the most beautiful Baroque churches in Central Europe and the most striking example of the so-called radical Baroque in Bohemia. With its majestic dome, the church dominates the whole Mala Strana District. Inside, a vast trompe-l'oeil fresco, gigantic sculptures, golden altarpieces, paintings, and countless stucco or wooden details present one of the best examples of Baroque art. Sandra you are always so observant and kind to all of those around you and this dedi to Mickey is so sweet and moved me. This capture is fantastic and this is the most beautiful dome I have ever seen. What a marvelous tribute to Mickey, he is in our hearts and prayers.

Hooooo. what to say?? I do not believe that I deserve as many graces my Beautiful. It is gigantic and of all is beauties.I thank you for the bottom of the heart my Beautiful. Deve essere veramente spettacolare vedere dal vivo questa cupola ! Brava Sandra e grazie per queste bellezze che mi fai vedere comodamente da casa e grazie per le informazioni. In quanto a me , l'avvicinamento alla macro mi sta abituando a una maggiore attenzione nell'osservare ( quello che ora vedo e mi piace , chissa' quante volte l'ho calpestato senza nemmeno vederlo ).
