Description

The Pelican...the bird - that holds more in it's beak than his belly can ! *** I always remember, those funny little words, when seeing a pelican...and there are a quite a few around the Tweed River inlets, waiting for the fisherman to spill their left-overs. But this has very little to do with this post, it is actually a sculpture from the Richmond river @ Ballina...which is South of Tweed Heads & Byron Bay (the most easterly point of Australia)facing the Pacific Ocean. Another one of those sculptures, I had posted prior to this one (28.7.08 - 'Angler Fish'), BTW the BG was our s/pool on a rainy day, plus a bit more of experimenting with HDR & colour burn. *BB* it's Brigitte (and when I am bad, my son calls me 'Doris'...go figure ?)

A really great image and that is a very imaginative sculpture. I like how you have put your pool water as a background as it really suits the sculpture. The water reminds me of a fractal. Very well done.
