BIO I'm an illustrator, and for the last 15 years I have been doing almost exclusively digital work--mostly covers for e-books and small presses; fantasy, SF and Paranormal Romance covers are my specialty. I use Poser, Photoshop and Painter, and a nifty little paint program called ArtRage. I have been lucky enough to have work shown on the BBC's The Sky at Night, done promotional artwork for the Hugos, and have digital art tutorials published in Michael Burn's Femme Digitale and Digital SciFi Art (Watson-Guptill 2004) as well as DVD covers, cd covers and e-book covers, most recently for Liquid Silver Books, Edge/Tesseract and Dragon Moon Press. I'm also a member of the International Association of Astronomical Artists. . When I have time, I do acrylic paintings for fun.
Commissions: I do 3d texturing and backgrounds now rather than book covers, and I do appreciate a good UV template to work on. Thanks for checking out my bio!

This looks like it's going to go in one of only two directions. Either it's all going to work as planned, or something very bad is about to happen. Mixing farm boys, powered rifles, pitchforks and butane lighters, I'm ducking for this one. Great image as always m'lady.

First off, you know I love your work and your style. The way you just paint what you need and make it part of the scene is mind boggling. The amount of detail and thought you put into each creation is to be commended. This image is no exception, but I do have one critique if that is okay? And this may be your intention, it may not, but it seems to me that the three gentlemen above lack expression. That's the only thing I can see out of place. Love your stuff!

Nice image, as all others in this story... And introducing a little brother of Rain into the story - i'm very agog to see how the story will develop... Btw - these little brother is nice too... Hope the relation between the siblings is good... Engaging a insect plague (like the locust swarms in australia) is a problematic thing... And with fire a most problematic... We in middle europe are in a comparatively convenient situation - the biggest plagues of bugs are bark beetle or colorado beetles, absolutely managable by chemistry. ------------------------------ Ah - i like the story more and more...

i really can't believe you did this in Poser. this is really good outdoor illustration. i can see the 3d aspects of some of the foliage, which makes it even more impressive, in my eyes. you've got a very even balance of 3d and 2d in this one. it all feels very integrated. the marks you give the Rain and other characters helps give them history, as well as bring danger and tension to bug-fighting scenes. i feel really daft, but what is that structure behind Rain? it has so many perfect spheres and cylinders, but a texture like dirt or mud or severe rust that it makes me really curious. and just to say, i think you did an excellent job on the rock. it stands out from the surrounding greenery very naturally. i really like Rain and his family. i hope we see more of them in the future.

Amazingly I missed this episode!! But I'm commenting now!! His brother leaf not looking like him is kind of surprising. But I guess someone has to look like the father. Your cliff he is perched on is superb!!
