Description

Denise (MrsRatbag) and Marilyn (beachzz) and I had a day out on Saturday, and took a short drive to the Kitsap Peninsula to a little town called Port Gamble. Port Gamble, Washington, is an old company mill town built in the 1850s. The entire town has been designated a National Historic Landmark. All the buildings share the same basic construction style, and everything looks to be in original condition. Between the three of us we probably took 750 or 800 photographs, so I'm sure you'll be seeing quite a few from our day out. We had SUCH a good time! :)

What a stunning composition! This is so perfect, so high-art, which isn't surprising coming from you. As someone you know of would say with a glutinous Russian accent: Yes. This is enough good. Very much. (English as a third language. I love it!) I love the yellow, the horizontals, and that intense window that is a world all its own. It reflects sky and clouds, but it does something else too. You see so many different realities in this one, elegant picture. This is fantastic! Enough good indeed!

The color of a mature mustard field. The precision of a finely postworked image. As for me, I love the old fashioned glass...and if my imagination doesn't runaway with me,...is that a figure I see standing in there? No, it probably IS my imagination:) Simplicity at its' best.
