Description

Considering some of the comments I got last time I posted in "Realism", I *really* thought twice before doing it again LOL! But I thought this one looked pretty good so here goes. Once again, this is another result of Phil Wilke's excellent tutorial series. Absolutely no postwork at all on this except for the logo! This scene was kind of a consolation of sorts: I've been working on a very important installment in the Aranée series and I'm pulling my already thin hair out LOL! Indoor scenes STILL have me stymied a bit, but Carrara effortlessly walks through outdoor scenes so I decided to do a simple one with a new technique - and the use of HDRI maps was what I wanted to try. Hope you like it! Please give a comment yea or nay, it encourages me to keep going and keep sharpening the skills...

Great use of the HDRi file I like the look in her eye and the sheen on her hair, there's a nice natural glow to the skin Fine DVD you have there, I had a look at a few of the demo`s and found out a thing or two from them!

She looks good but I'd knock the focus and saturation down somewhat on the backgound.

I am looking forward to seeing how the Aranee characters look under this new system. I know you and the rest of us are in for a treat because I can look back and see how much my Ishtar characters evolved with practice and technical changes.

Gorgeous - love her eyes! Not that there is anything wrong, but you may try using a slightly longer focal length on the camera? Also for indoor scenes, the key is indirect lighting - it can make minimal difference on outdoor scenes but makes a HUGE difference to indoor scenes! Unfortunately it also adds to your render times. Still, back to this image - did I say, Gorgeous!
