Antje and Bez thank you so much for the fabulous 'Bubblelicious Bgd's' they are amazing and I loved creating this picture here, so thanks for the inspiration guys.
The mother cat is Ruby who is the mother of both my cat Freddie seen in the arms of the mermaid (by folkvangar but I added the scales on her chest for my children's book), and my daughter's cat Simba, the red silver tabby sat on the mermaids knee. I took the photos of Ruby and the kittens aged 5 weeks.
The mother cat Ruby has a sister called Looby and both the girls reared their offspring at that time together, so the kittens were more than used to feeding from both the Mum's and their seemed to be total harmony and trust. The little kitten edging up to Ruby is actually one of Looby's babies, so hence the other inspiration in the title of this picture.

Sis, you have no idea how happy I am to see you posting this one as it means so many people out there are now going to have a reason to smile tonight. I've just noticed that there are already 3 pages of comments and this is such a big hit with everyone around. And why wouldn't it be as you once more have poured your beautiful heart and soul into you work and created this wonderful vision. Well it certainly appears the kitties are in good hands and this scene is filled with love.
