Description
From above, the Eel River does look quite twisty and turny. But the real reason it's called the Eel is because they're used to BE eels in it--conger eels I believe. Creepy critters, but a big source of food for the people who first lived here.

WOW! What a river! It's a rather slender beauty from above. Like Andrea, I really love the composition of this shot! It's so well done, and the plane engine has a nicely shark-like shape to it...kinda like that rare breed of great metalic shark with a spinny thing on its nose! I love that!
