Fenton, Norris and Thornton are out tramping across town. Claim to be arranging things for trip into Old Calladon. More likely getting into trouble that I will have to get them out of. While they are out, knock came on door. Large person wishing to speak about notice at FreeRanger’s Guildhall. Took minute to realize she was female. Took less time to realize she was Hobgoblin. Common to see in UnderDark, much less so in surface city. Hobgoblin always belong to military unit rather than family. Even mercenaries travel as squads. Never alone. Was very curious, so asked about unit. Surprised she would do so, but seemed to have no reservations speaking of such things.

Her name is Dorchak Zhain. She was lost from unit as youngster. All killed. She survived because she was not even teenager at time and adventurers took pity. She was taken as prisoner and handed over to Carellonian military. She became slave of state for time before being conscripted into military service. She served three year enlistment, then for bravery in the face of enemy, was given promotion to Under Lieutenant. Served for two more years. Now is free, but natural Hobgoblin tendency, she is looking for another unit to join. She is massive with muscles. She speaks Drovik and SK Drow,… not well, but she speaks them. Skilled in warcraft, strategy and tactics, and is 3rd level master of Morcha Quai martial arts style. Told her I would pay for Guild membership, like with others. She hugged me. Reminded her of proper decorum with commanding officer.
