Description

Just a little character study work, using the wonderful Kane character by Picturesland! over at DAZ. I fell in love with his face the moment I saw him. Combined with Maclean's modern classroom, I tried a number of rendering options. IDL seem to have lot of dirt in it, perhaps because it was (very bright) simulating sunlight, and each render took about 24 hours long! Next I tried using volumetric lighting; not as long a render, and it produced better shadows, but it wasn't bright enough. So, not happy with either, I tried to open the scene in Carrara, but because of body-scaling of the body, it screwed Kane's feet up. I then tried to just re-create it in C7, but the damn auto-conforming played havoc with the layered clothing. I gave up on it, even though I loved the lighting I was able to acheive with it. So, onto photoshop and numerous layers upon layers, filter upon filter, layers and more layers. Nothing special. Just a few weeks of work and I'm just okay with it.
